Job Summary:
The Webmaster is responsible for designing and maintaining content for Amanah’s websites, including participating in establishing overall program goals, implementing and compiling results from customer surveys and acting as primary liaison to the product groups, department managers, technical documentation group, support services, human resources and developers.
Over and above duties, the incumbent will be expected to add value to the organization by being pro-active in keeping abreast with relevant technology and by making worthwhile recommendations to ensure that the website (and intranet as applicable) is contemporary, optimized and in keeping with the company’s ideals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage technical support for functional development and ongoing optimization related to internal and external sites. Must have working knowledge of HTML and CSS and web support software tools (web development tool knowledge may be useful when working with IT and outside technical development staff; but is not required.)
• Total quality management of Amanah’s website (and intranet as applicable) including daily evaluation of links and usability as well as insuring all content is up-to-date at all times. Be able to provide management with metrics on site usage.
• Coordinate activities of external consultants related to web projects.
• Coordinate content providers, monitor and enforce graphic guidelines of the sites according to relevant corporate policies including: file formatting, and layout guidelines.
• This position will work in a collaborative manner with marketing communications group and other departments.
• Coordinate with company’s management and consult with them to establish priorities for website development and to plan, review, and evaluate the company web requirements.
• Create new web pages and update existing web pages as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to all levels of users and encourage timeliness and accuracy of web page information and resolution of problems.
• Develop web page infrastructure, utilize applications to ensure technical performance and assess new technologies for applicability to company needs.
• Consult with various departments of the company to arrange designing, developing, streamlining and maintaining web pages using HTML, Java Script and other similar programming languages.
• Work with network personnel on issues of hardware/software that affect the website.
• Webmaster implements web pages, maintains content and oversees day-to-day management of web sites, and assures quality and filing integrity of web pages.
• Reviews, spell-checks, error checks all web content prior to and after release, to maintain high level of quality of the pages.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and company policies on web site usage, security and standards.
• Overall maintenance of company website or multiple websites.
• Coordinates web functions, monitors web user activity, incorporates new technologies into the web site, and enhances existing web sites.
• Provides regular status reports to Marketing-Business Departments and accommodate requests for limited tailored reports.

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified applicants for our Webmaster position must meet the following requirements:

• Knowledge and experience with website design, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, database development, relational database design, and database protocols. Must be able to address HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers and computing platforms.
• Experience in the creation of web-based applications using Microsoft tools & technologies: IIS, ASP, MTS, Index Server, JavaScript/VBScript, Visual Interdev.
• Experience in graphic design (e.g. Quark, Flash, Adobe products or similar) is essential.
• Knowledge and experience with installing, configuring, maintaining, tuning, analyzing and optimizing websites in the NT environment.
• Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements and translate them into technical design and development projects.
• Ability to clearly document features, technical specifications, and infrastructure requirements for self-produced technical work and job processes.
• Must be able to continuously monitor industry trends, technologies, and standards and be able to research, recommend, and apply new technologies as they emerge.
• Candidate must be self-sufficient and have good English oral and written communications skills. Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred.
